Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Manager for Simulation Based Design (SBD) to work with the platform and technology teams to embed SBD into the product development and lead a global team size of 10 to 50 engineers. This position is located Saint Joseph, MI.



  • Develop the product category simulation strategy and roadmaps
  • Develop the new simulation capabilities based on the project requirements
  • Develop the new simulation techniques and best practices to reduce overall simulation and design cycle time.
  • Develop system performance models to enable the Platforms to take right architecture decisions
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team across the platforms and regions to use more simulations and fewer prototypes and physical testing
  • Verify, enhance, and optimize the designs using simulations tools
  • Experience in writing simulation reports, knowledge documents, and A3s to capture knowledge and promote future reuse
  • Responsible for the performance assessments of the team members
  • Attract, develop, and retain the key talent
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining a strong communication bridge with design, CAD, preprocessing, and lab personnel.
  • Work with the Platform planners to estimate the required resources
  • 10 - 15% International Travel 



  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering 
  • 10+ years simulation experience in a product development company
  • 5+ years managerial experience to include leading people



  • Master’s Degree or PhD
  • Experience in using ANSYS, LS-DYNA, Star CCM, Acusolve, Fluent, HyperWorks
  • Experience in using system modeling tools such as Dymola, Matlab Simulink, ModeFrontier
  • Experience in Systems engineering and MBSE
  • Work with diverse global teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in building the representative 3D models, evaluating designs, validating with physical testing to drive efficient designs for optimal product performance.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience in Project Planning
  • Experience in delivering the product development projects (Sub-system level)
