Digital Consumer Journey CoE

The Global Head of Content Production Role

The Global Head of Content within the Whirlpool DCoE will be responsible for  building content production structures across the globe. He/She will also be responsible for setting a portfolio of strategies, best practices, and play books defining the production, development, and distribution of content targeted to consumer needs. This position won’t be responsible for content production itself, but rather being a consultant that will assess regions to set up or improve their content structures. In addition, the role will serve as a subject matter expert with whom Whirlpool stakeholders can engage for insights and recommendations as needed.

 

Vision

The Head of Content is responsible for setting a compelling and clear vision for Content  across the globe from which each region will be able to define their own strategies from. In addition to this,he/she will be responsible for instilling departmental culture at all levels in order to inspire a unified vision and direction towards the achievement of the business’s goals.

 

Maturity Assessment

This position will be responsible to create a global Content maturity assessment stack and define each regional Content maturity position - setting goals of growth and guiding regions with the best benchmarkings and approaches to move upward in the scale of maturity - according to the maturity phase each region is on.

 

Talent Track and Interchange

This center will also keep track of the best Content professionals - their skills, capabilities and expertise and guarantee global interchanges as different missions across the globe arise. This professional will also be responsible for creating global moments of interactions between Content professionals so that they will be able to present cases and trade experiences. That also means this professional will lead and influence from distance professionals around the globe since the role splits 50% between global and 50% supporting and training regional teams to achieve the global Content strategy. He/She will help remove the regional silos to improve connection, collaboration and speed, driving maximum impact to both consumer and business. 

In addition to this, the Head of Content is responsible for instilling the business as well as a departmental culture at all levels in order to inspire a unified vision and direction around the globe and helping to set local content structures in a sustainable and innovative way according to each country's budgets and limitations.

 

Uniform & Track Global KPI's

It's also a responsibility of this role to define a global structure of KPIs that must be tracked across all regions and track global performance having a parametrized way to compare regions evolutions and monitor the evolution of each country.

 

Technology and Innovation

The Head of Content will stay current on the latest technologies and innovations in the world of Content Creation, Production, Structures and technologies. Information regarding what are the best formats for content structure, processes and teams organization for content production,new media formats, changes to consumer behavior (such as a shift to mobile, A.R, V.R), new content capabilities, and connections to other subject areas such as SEO, SEM, Social Media, are expected to be provided to regions.

The profissional will also be responsible for finding opportunities for tools and content providers to unify globally, reduce costs and understand which resources are better for each region. Accompanying relevant spot projects and structures implementations are part of the role since the function requires sharing  his/her time between the global scope and regional sprints. 

 

The ideal candidate will be bring the following: 

  • Experienced with content development, production and storytelling

  • Track record in setting up content structures from scratch

  • Experience with audience/community building

  • Strong network in content production industry

  • Understanding of consumer personas & user journeys

  • Deep understanding of new content production technologies

  • Data-driven/ Results-driven mindset

  • Knowledge of CMS tools

  • Leadership experience - Previous global experience will be considered a Plus.

  • Fluent English
