Function Overview

The Performance Enabler Engineer - Associate role is located on the Laundry Performance Enabler team within the Performance Subsystem.  The primary function of this role is to deliver hardware projects/designs for hydraulics, dispensing and clothes movers in the areas of new model launches, innovation and cost/quality improvement.  This global role offers endless opportunities to work on all types of global designs and machine types and provides numerous experiences to help you learn and grow in your career.


Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Cycle Design and Setting File team to deliver hardware designs that meet project requirements.  Lead development for a variety of modules including electro-mechanical pumps and valves, hoses, chemical dispensers and clothes movers.

  • Develop project plans for solutions based on design processes including requirements decomposition, FMEA and Design Validation Plan and Report (DPV&R).

  • Work collaboratively with factories, suppliers and tooling vendors to deliver cost effective and robust tooling capacity for designs.

  • Work collaboratively with Quality and Manufacturing to assure requirements are documented well, in control and sustainable for long term quality.

  • Work with cross functional teams to generate new ideas for construction of cost and quality pipeline of future projects and work to deliver highest priority items in alignment with global module plans.


Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

  • 1+ years of experience in hardware design and manufacturing

  • Proficient knowledge of English, FMEA methodology and Systemic Problem solving


Preferred Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance / self starter.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally and globally.

  • Proficient knowledge of Risk Management and Project Management.

  • Experience in rapid prototyping methods and plastic part design.

  • Experience in use of simulation based design tools to expedite development accuracy and timing
