Position: Sr. CAE Specialist

Experience: 6 - 10 years of core experience in Moldflow Simulation.

Location: Global Technology and Engineering Center (GTEC), Whirlpool of India, Pune.


ME/M Tech/MS Polymer/Production/Mechanical/Tooling Engineering.


Technical Expertise:

  1. Master in Injection Molding Simulation(Cool+Fill+Pack+Warp in MP, DD & 3D mesh) using Autodesk Moldflow s/w.

  2. Master in meshing of plastic components and Mold Cooling systems using Altair-Hypermesh and Moldflow.


Required Technical Experience:

  1. Should have deep knowledge of Injection Molding Process.

  2. Should have deep knowledge of Mold Design Concepts.

  3. Should have deep knowledge Polymer Materials rheology and Thermodynamics

  4. Should have experience in Plastic Part and Mold Development Process.

  5. Should have experience of resolving injection molding problems like weld lines,sink marks,warpage using simulation.

  6. Strong Results interpretation and communication skills.

  7. Critical thinking for effectively approaching towards solutions.

  8. Should be Autodesk Moldflow Associate(Bronze) certified.

  9. Should have Basic Knowledge of Six Sigma/Design for Reliability/Design for Six Sigma/Design for Lean.



  1. Drive Plastic Part Design and development with the help of Autodesk Moldflow Injection Molding Simulation.

  • Design For Tooling Feasibility(DFM) & Part Design Optimization

  • Molding Window and Gate Location analysis

  • Mold Filling analysis during Design Phase-Fill+Pack +Warp

  • Mold Filling analysis during Tooling Phase-Cool+Fill+Pack +Warp


  1. Cooling Phase Correlation and problem solving :Steady state and Transient

  2. Root Cause analysis to mitigate problems related to plastic part Design, materials and molding using problem solving techniques.

  3. Perform plastic part design and molding process optimization using simulation and optimization techniques like Design of Experiments.

  4. Calibrate numerical model based on experimental data and generate correlations and validations.

  5. Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with Global Counterparts i.e design team, materials team,toolmaker and injection molding team to gather inputs as well as  share results.

  6. Proactive knowledge documentation and sharing
