We are looking for a Verification and Validation (V&V) / Code, Safety and Regulatory (CSR) engineer to join our team in Poprad, Slovakia. You will be reporting to the Verification and Validation (V&V) Leader for EMEA.

As a V&V/CSR engineer, you will routinely work with the architect, subsystem engineers and system integrators to understand the project objectives, and to understand and mitigate any risks associated with not meeting those objectives. You will work closely with a talented team of laboratory supervisors and technicians to ensure that tests are completed accurately and on schedule. Your task in this role will include

This position will oversee Verification and Validation (V&V) and Codes Approval plans for the Laundry platforms projects in EMEA. You will create and execute Verification and Validation (V&V) plans that align with multiple project budgets and timelines. Your principal responsibilities will be: 



  • Use critical thinking and Failure Mode Effect Analysis FMEAs to generate Verification and Validation (V&V) plans with the appropriate type and amount of testing
  • Lead the activities to obtain UL and IEC approvals, including the overall plan for obtaining certification and test strategy for all projects
  • Ensure the completion of appropriate activities to identify, evaluate and close all potential safety hazards prior to production 
  • Execute the Verification and Validation (V&V) plan and facilitate reviews
  • Work with the Failure Review Board to resolve issues and document learnings
  • Appropriately close the V&V records for the project including the final Verification and Validation (V&V) report
  • Ensure the appropriate certifications are received from the certification agencies in time to support project timelines
  • Maintain knowledge of our compliance reports and make sure that product changes are appropriately communicated as needed to our certifying agencies



Background and Experiences

Minimum Requirements to Succeed



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in a design engineering role 



Preferred Requirements



  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and discussions.  
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or other training providing an understanding of Design of Experiments, Control Charts, Measurement System Evaluations and other statistical process/product improvement methods
  • Understanding of the Principles of Continuous Improvement (Lean and 5S)
  • Experience with the creation and implementation of Test plans that provide objective evidence a system meets its requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of Risk Assessment and Mitigation methods
