This role in summary

This customer facing selling role will require you to build strong relationships within a defined customer base to maximise Whirlpool Company profitability. You will act as an ambassador for Whirlpool Company brand.

You will demonstrate the ability to analyse the needs of your customer. You will sell Whirlpool groups’ MDA portfolio to independent trade partners and develop new growth opportunities to achieve maximum mutual profitability. You will develop a close working relationship with internal departments including Logistics / Finance / Marketing / Service etc to manage the customer journey.


Your responsibilities will include 

  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships both internally and externally. Meet target expectations by selling and delivering on volume and margin against described company objectives. Work towards set KPI’s which will help underpin positive results not only in your region but across the channel.
  • Promote Whirlpool Company brands with passion and knowledge.
  • Manage own area by analysing regional performance and developing short, medium and long term business plans. 
  • Manages regional development and administration (journey planning, call cover plan, forecasting, account SWOT analysis, etc).
  • Plans calls/meetings to deliver daily company and individual objectives as part of a monthly and quarterly plan.
  • Understands, manages and takes ownership as appropriate of the sales process from order placement to delivery.
  • Maximise display opportunities.
  • Understand market forces and competitive activity within your own channel in order to identify sales and promotional opportunities.
  • Demonstrate creative thinking to achieve sales using available business tools.
  • Drive sales potential by maximising the sale of available stock.
  • Ensure customers pay on time in line with DSO targets.

Minimum requirements


  • Must be located geographically within the Midlands or North West.
  • Full clean, UK drivers’ licence.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to ever changing business/market needs.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Display can-do attitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely as well as part of a team.
  • Results driven and able to work under pressure.

Preferred skills and experiences


  • Proven sales track record.
  • Excellent negotiation skills at different levels with the ability to build long lasting relationships.
  • Second to none time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Google Suite is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of building and maintaining cross functional relationships
