This role in summary

For this role, you will grow margin, revenue, share and volume with Retail and Builder accounts in the Upstate New York market.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Contribute to sales team success by sharing market and competitive information
  • Develop relationships with existing and potential new trade customers
  • Negotiate and close profitable sales; prospecting and market development
  • Train trade partners on the merits of Whirlpool Corporation's products
  • Prepare and renew quotes for specific projects
  • Trade association leadership
  • Merchandise trade customer floor

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years sales experience

Preferred skills and experiences

  • 2+ years of sales experience in the Appliance Industry
  • Analytical and negotiation skills
  • Communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the contract distribution channel in the authorized contract distributor, single-family, and multi-family segments
  • Appetite to meet and exceed revenue, profit, and volume goals
  • Track record of sales success
  • Self-starter with the ability to develop and drive sales strategy
  • Motivator/leader with the ability to work well within a continuously improving environment
  • Willingness to embrace and drive change
  • Knowledge of professional sales process and insights-driven selling
  • Knowledge of products and brands
  • Intelligence on competitors
