THE POSITION

 

We are seeking a Recruiting Senior Manager to act as Global Lead for Hourly Hiring.  In this role, you will partner with Business HR, HR Operations, and Plant Operations and Finance leadership to achieve Hourly Hiring targets for Delivery, Quality, Value, Candidate Experience and Diversity & Inclusion across all Regions.  

 

The scope currently includes 9 Plants in the US, 5 in Mexico, 3 in Brazil, 1 in Argentina, 14 across Europe (primarily Italy and Poland), 3 in India, and 2 in China.  Leveraging Whirlpool’s TA Strategy, this individual will enhance the existing Hourly Hiring strategy to optimize results. This includes support for Employer Branding, Sourcing, Assessing, Onsite Candidate Experience, and Offer Processing.  In addition, this individual will connect with the cross-functional team driving the Hiring forecast for each location.

 

In your first year, you will focus on optimizing the process across the 9 Plants in the US.  As the process is stabilized and optimized, you will partner with counterparts in other Regions to enable a consistent process in every Plant to drive the required outcomes.  You also will partner with external agencies for Plants that use temporary workers to help meet our overall objectives for World Class Manufacturing.

 

This role would ideally be based in Monterrey, Mexico where our 3 largest plants in Latin America are located and also because of the maturity of the Hourly Hiring delivery model in Mexico and its central geographic location.  Occasional travel will be required to Global HQ in Benton Harbor, Michigan and some of our other plant locations globally.

 

More specifically you will:
 

  • Lead Hourly Hiring for a large manufacturing company across multiple locations

  • Establish and implement Hourly Hiring sourcing strategies

  • Establish and implement common assessment process to improve Quality

  • Evaluate existing global/local vendors and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Partner with HR and Business leaders to achieve a common objectives

  • Partner with Plant HR / Ops / Finance leadership to establish Hourly Hiring forecast

  • Partner with Communications to enable consistent Employer Branding

  • Provide guidance and support to professionals supporting recruitment at the Plants
