Function Overview

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Analyst, Material Management. The purpose of this role is to provide material management of raw materials and/or component parts to support assembly operations and validate material is available for production when needed.  This position will be responsible for scheduling production runs to meet customer demand and will be charged to continually monitor current processes and to help identify opportunities for improvement. This role participates and/or leads continuous improvement projects related to improving material management. This role is also responsible for processes related to Inventory Accuracy, BOM (Bills of Material) Accuracy, Excess/Obsolescence Management, New Model Planning, Operational Issues, and Master Data Accuracy.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with internal customers to develop material scheduling solutions
  • Provide automation solutions to improve efficiency
  • This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and decision making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are essential to effectively interact with  team members
  • Analytic experience; problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Use lean tools; manage projects with no known solution. Lead projects with multiple team members, defining individual roles to maximize resources. Present project proposals that will enable sound business decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, product engineers, procurement and supply chain to optimize part delivery value stream
  • Develop, document and deliver timely and robust Change Management plans

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of scheduling production run experience 
  • 1+ years’ experience with SAP or equivalent resource planning software

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with creating and driving process changes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics or related field
  • 2 years of Supervisory experience
  • Must possess good judgment, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to engage team members to support significant shop floor change
  • Strong knowledge of Google Tools (Google: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms & Drawings), with the use of formulas like VLOOKUP and INDEX
  • Uses logic and problem-solving tools to develop plans to meet targets and look forward proactively and to prioritize
  • Understands and employs basic change management methodology
  • Scheduling production run experience using SAP, Google and/or excel software
