This role in summary

This role is responsible for forecasting sales & orders for the channel, playing a key role in the Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) and outlooking processes.  This role will require working cross functionally with internal process partners such as merchandising, supply chain, and sales as well as externally with the trade partner to collaborate on forecasting and replenishment planning.  In addition this role will support the channel via reporting, data analysis, pricing, and product transitions. The role is currently based out of Menards Headquarters located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead the SKU level sales & order forecasting process factoring for pricing, promotions, sell through trends, trade partner inventory, etc.
  • Support the sales managers during internal forecast alignment meetings by providing clarification to the drivers of forecast changes
  • Understand trade partner inventory levels, inventory targets, product lead times, & future promotions to make recommendations on order quantities & lead times
  • Support and/or lead product transitions by coordinating with sales team, internal process partners, & trade partner to ensure phase in/phase out forecasts are loaded and all necessary activities are completed for a successful transition
  • Update & provide reports on POS, shipments, inventory, forecast accuracy, and lead times
  • Provide responses/solutions to trade partners for escalated issues varying from product availability to service questions to product information
  • Lead and/or support continuous improvement projects to increase team’s efficiency and productivity

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years analytics, forecasting, supply chain, or sales experience

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Communicate effectively to leadership, trade partners, & process partner
  • Data analysis skills
  • Systems knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, SAP, & Anaplan
  • Work independently
  • Work is a high stress environment
