This role in summary

We are seeking qualified candidates for an Inside Sales Representative. This is a remote position.  This person will proactively contact our Trade Customers to provide world class sales experience.  This will include but not limited to; marketplace insights, merchandising assistance, and new business opportunities.
 

Your responsibilities will include

Independent Retail Sales - 
Responsible for the sales and development of large, high potential Trade Customers with a territory of 100 – 150 accounts and a quota of $10 - $15 million. This will consist of calling on existing associate contract accounts as well as independent retail accounts.  

  • Be a proactive sales consultant to ensure only the highest quality sales experience for our Whirlpool Trade Customers.
  • Other duties include maintaining current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers.
  • Develop and drive a ‘plan to sell’ to grow margin, revenue and share with assigned trade partners
  • Create strategic opportunities for buy-in and sell through activities
  • Provide insight driven selling techniques
  • Contribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Earn an incentive bonus based on performance to quota
  • Develop a direct to indirect sales strategy to maintain cost to serve
  • Utilize all lead resources to build customer pipeline
  • Negotiate pricing and freight terms
  • Provide insight driven selling techniques
  • Contribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Earn an incentive bonus based on performance to quota
  • Ability to travel, work overtime and handle pressure and deadlines
  • Ability to relocate for promotion opportunities within 18 – 24 months

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Previous sales experience
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion and relationship building skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • PC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SAP)
  • Strong business acumen and analytical
