Role in Summary. 

Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the contract sales and development of large, high potential Trade Customers with a territory of 50-100 accounts and a quota of $10-$15 million in the Contract Speciality sales team.  This person will prospect for new business in the property management & apartment distribution segments. Other duties include maintaining a current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high-quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Contract Sales 

● Prospect for new business in the property management & apartment distribution segments.

● Determine distribution path of direct selling or indirect. 

● Develop a direct to indirect sales strategy to maintain cost to serve 

● Own the end-to-end lead to quote process for all assigned accounts 

● Utilize all lead resources to build your customer pipeline 

● Read specifications and blueprints when needed and translate that into a merchandising package.

● Executing competitive cross-over analysis and providing solutions to customers specific to property management applications. 

● Negotiate pricing and freight terms 

● Maintain current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high-quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers. 

● Contribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information

● Work independently and in a team environment.  

● Earn an incentive bonus based on performance to quota    

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

● Bachelor’s degree 

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

● Sales experience preferred specific to builder sales 1 year 

● Prefered operational experience specific to builder 

● Understand cost to serve and delivery execution processes 

● Working knowledge of Whirlpool’s quoting policies. 

● Working knowledge of the multifamily end-to-end process 

● Advance knowledge of salesforce, excel, and google tools. 

● Working knowledge of System Application and Product in Processing, Ops Technology, Yardi, and Electronic Data Interchange. 

● Working knowledge of Whirlpool supply chain, system and processes. 

● Business acumen and analytical skills 

● Negotiation, persuasion and relationship building skills 

● Communication skills, both verbal and written
