Technical Project  Engineer

Position Location: Latin America Engineering Operations located in Joinville, Santa Catarina Brazil

Level: Engineering Analyst

 

Function Overview

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Engineering Analyst for System Integration of the Cooking Built In cooktop, wall oven, and microwave products.  In this role, you will be the System Integrator and subject matter expert responsible for integration of technology subsystems and full product development utilizing structures, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics design applications and program management with cross functional engagement.  You would also be responsible for engineering team resource management, technology roadmap management input, governance and operational support for Whirlpool's projects.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the full product life cycle with a focus on concept through production technical guidance of development process for both New Product Introduction, Maintenance of Business and Cost & Quality. 

  • Responsible for system development including requirements management, integration, product verification & validation and transition to the manufacturing production teams after start of production.

  • Create and Manage project technology schedules and implementation of product studies and cross functional inputs into products. 

  • Ensure technology solution follows industry best practices and Whirlpool’s Integration patterns.

  • Lead and manage activities of the global technology team members, including communications, product tradeoffs, and facilitating discussions/communication with cross functional partners.

  • Mentor broader team both technically and cross functionally.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in product development technical design with full product delivery, vendor management, incident management, and change management. 

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Equivalent Engineering

  • Master’s degree in Engineering is an asset

  • Strong knowledge of structures, heat transfer, and thermodynamics

  • Strong system integration skills 

  • Global team experienceStrong desire to grow, learn and take on new and challenging tasks 

  • Strong analytical skills, experience in solving practical issues and engaging cross-functional teams of multiple process partners to a consensus

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills                            

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines; handle multiple tasks

  • Self-driven and motivated

  • Quick learner
