Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Supervisor position to join our Manufacturing Maintenance Team.



  • Facilitate & Orchestrate technical focus to satisfy operational objectives.
  • Contribute in the development and implementation of WPS (Whirlpool Production System) based on the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) model.
  • Develop and mentor technical (skill trades and engineering) resources in problem solving tools based on the suite of WCM.
  • Provide guidance and coaching for WCM Autonomous & Professional Maintenance pillars
  • Responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations (assembly equipment, packaging, material handling, fixtures, and business processes).
  • Support cost improvement and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Provide supervisory and administrative support to a Maintenance team of up to 30 skilled trades consisting of mechanical, electrical, and tooling technicians.
  • Establish labor standards, clear expectations, and drive accountability
  • Drive root cause analysis through structured diagnosis of equipment failures utilizing standard tools techniques and procedures.
  • Provide oversight to activities being completed on the shop floor with an emphasis on safety, ensure efficient time and resource management practices are being followed.
  • Use a computerized maintenance management system(s) for the creation, display, track, and confirm maintenance requests.
  • Update, review, and present departmental metrics
  • Communicate information between maintenance shifts, department leadership, and to all levels of management.
  • Adoption Of the Philosophy: What we do matters to the bottom line. Maintenance is a service that we deliver to our customers. The service is to provide functional and available machinery and equipment to operations. Operations utilize that machinery and equipment to manufacture finished goods which in turn allows US to meet our production commitments.
  • Always take time to consider the ripple effects of what we do, when we do it and how we do it impacts others and the broader business objectives.


Basic Qualifications


  • Associates Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • 1+  years of experience in WCM (World Class Manufacturing)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Methods, Root-Cause-Problem-Solving Techniques, TPM, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and Predictive and Preventative Maintenance.
  • Read and interpret Electrical Schematics and Ladder Logic Trees, working knowledge of PLCs and Motor Controls.
  • Read and interpret Mechanical Drawings, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Schematics, working knowledge of hydraulics, gearing, mechanical clutch and brake assemblies, welding, and fabrication.
  • Understanding of statistical data analysis as well as project management and scheduling.
  • Proficient with MS Office, and SAP (Plant Maintenance Module).
  • Effective communicator with the ability to support assembly processes 24 hours a day.
  • Proven leader that can provide purpose, direction, and motivation.
