This role in summary

 

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Analyst, Engineering. The role will be based at our Findlay, OH plant. This role will be responsible for designing, constructing, testing, operating, and implementing equipment; ensuring that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness and performance are met in production processes. Interpretation of plans, drawings and specifications. This role will provide leadership and support to ensure manufacturing lines achieve business metrics. Continuously identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.

Your responsibilities will include

 

•    Lead capital projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
•    Lead process implementation, process optimization, root cause analysis, and capacity increases.
•    Facilitate projects and teach / mentor / train shop floor teams in lean strategies and concepts.
•    Provide project management of new and existing equipment.
•    Work cross functionally with other teams to drive solutions. 
•    Support technicians with advanced problem-solving and skill training
•    Work effectively with your peers to share knowledge and leverage strengths
•    Utilize excellent communication and documentation skills to transfer critical process and support knowledge to others

 

Minimum requirements

 

•    Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technical field or In lieu of Bachelor Degree , associate’s degree in technology with journeyman's card
•    2+ year(s) manufacturing engineering experience

 
 

Preferred skills and experiences

•    Comprehensive knowledge of the use of advanced manufacturing techniques
•    World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Professional Maintenance (WO) and Focused Improvement (FI) Pillars
•    Ability to drive initiatives to support change in the plant
•    Experience using Cad software such as Creo, Solidworks, Autocad, and/or Surfcam
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
