This role in summary


Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for the Finish Production Scheduler. The role is located at the Fall River, MA location. This role creates and maintains production schedules in order to ensure that deadlines are met. This role requires superior organization and planning skills, since the production scheduler examines customer orders, available staff and inventory, and assembly line  capabilities to effectively set and manage production schedules. The Finish Production Scheduler will have a strong understanding of the production process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily, weekly and monthly schedules, also he/she generates schedules, solves production problems, seeks to improve processes, and helps fulfill company and customers expectations.  In addition, the production scheduler monitors manufacturing performance and actively adjusts schedule in response to equipment failures or supply shortages.

Your responsibilities will include


  • Work with Sales and Production  to plan and coordinate production schedules.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement and finance teams to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.
  • Provide quick responses to production issues.
  • Identify problems and help improve processes.
  • Ensure that company deadlines are met.. 
  • Review production specifications and identify and report plant capacity restrictions.
  • Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Analyze and address production issues in a timely fashion.
  • Deliver to commitment
  • Fall River integration to the Whirlpool’s forecasting process
  • Coordinate efforts & activities between manufacturing and sales to reach 95% on time delivery for all CTO and MTS orders




Minimum requirements


  • Associate’s degree  
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing production.

Preferred skills and experiences


  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Critical thinking and Problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with computers (Excel).
  • Experience creating and understanding reports in order to make production decisions.
  • Planning and organizational skills, as well as working to apply the principles of manufacturing resource planning to daily operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Process enhancement experience and knowledge of Lean tools
