This role in summary

An outstanding career opportunity exists at Whirlpool Corporation. A Sr. Manufacturing Information Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the software development and implementation for the next generation of manufacturing applications with a focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems and integrations with SAP, covering operational metrics, production planning, material handling, and quality. This role will directly support multiple factory locations in the Ohio, US area while working primarily out of one Ohio manufacturing facility.

 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Support manufacturing technology solution deployments, including technical and organizational change management.
  • Provide hands-on technical support as needed.
  • Support manufacturing application security remediation activities.
  • Coordinate with the business teams to provide input to solution designs for manufacturing processes from the lens of the manufacturing end-user with a focus on usability.
  • Decompose complex manufacturing requirements into technical application requirements.
  • Participate in agile activities as a functional consultant.
  • Assist, coordinate end-user testing.
  • Assist in technical training activities as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key manufacturing and global information system stakeholders.
  • Serve as an escalation point for IT services. Help coordinate issue resolution.
  • Work with BRM Lead to build operational metrics and plant technology roadmap.
  • Understand plant technical landscape and technology debt. Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities and assist in the development of business cases.
  • Work BRM Lead and plant BRM peers to leverage cross plant opportunities and standardize technical platforms.
  • Travel to US plants will be required <25%

 

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years experience working in cross-functional teams delivering functionality and support
  • 3+ years’ experience of project management of manufacturing software deployment projects (SAP deployments / coordinating testing / defining specific requirements for different facilities by understanding their technical landscapes)
  • 2+ years experience executing, coordinating functional testing on projects
  • 2+ years experience in coordinating new and existing systems; technical issue management and troubleshooting

 

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Passion for problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Able to present, verbal, and written communication skills
  • 2+ years working with Ignition applications, MES applications or Java applications
  • SAP Certification in MM,PP, PM or QM
  • 2+ years SAP ECC 6.0 PP, MM, and QM Interface experience
  • SAP - MES integration knowledge
  • 2+ years developing or deploying SAP MII
  • 2+ years Confluence, Jira
  • 2+ years of full-stack software development
