This Role In Summary:

 

In this position you will be responsible for an assigned area in the production facility, working on the Mid-Night Shift. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of 100-200 hourly employees in the attainment of all S.Q.D.C. (safety, quality, delivery, and cost) goals and objectives.  

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

 

  • Drive continuous improvement through utilization of World Class Manufacturing methodology
  • Lead a team in a manner consistent with the Whirlpool Values of respect, integrity, teamwork, the spirit of winning, and diversity with inclusion
  • Responsible for corrective/preventative actions in response to daily safety, product quality, and product delivery issues
  • Assists in determining immediate and future manpower and equipment requirements
  • Demonstrate leadership through the development of Team Leaders in the area to help drive daily work and long-term improvements
  • Assure all team members receive appropriate training relative to daily work assignments and plant operating procedures and policies
  • Conducts/participates in daily communication meetings with both the departmental teams and management teams
  • PC proficiency utilizing Google Suite
  • Ability to work any shift as business needs require

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Leadership role

 

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

 

  • Strong leadership/supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively and independently organize and prioritize department needs
  • World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience is a plus
  • Should value the diversity of ideas, opinions, experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives needed to foster a competitive global business environment
