Function Overview:

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Supervisor position in the Assembly Operations organization.  This position could be on any shift.




  • Responsible for providing overall shop floor activities.
  • Accountable for delivering facility-wide operational goals and objectives, consistent with the plant vision and strategy.
  • Principle responsibility for assembly processes and performance and owns shift metrics around Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance versus goals.
  • Practices and ensures positive employee relations, ensuring decisions are made in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Assists in leading World Class Manufacturing (WCM) goals/initiatives through involvement in the policy deployment (strategic) planning process and the execution of activities defined in that process.
  • Prioritize and organize short-term and long-term goals and activities in accordance with business objectives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Whirlpool manufacturing standards/methods.
  • Employee coaching and counseling, as necessary.


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associates Degree
  • Ability to work other shifts when necessary.
  • Personal effectiveness through integrity, motivation, dependability/reliability, willingness to learn, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and initiative.
  • Track record in driving continuous improvement via lean tools, and a driver of positive change.
  • Ability to grow individual and organizational competencies through proactive coaching and mentoring.
