This role in summary

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of 1st Shift Maintenance Engineer at our Cleveland, TN location. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and together will lead projects and initiatives in Automation, Preventative Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Breakdown Countermeasures, and Cost Reduction activities. This role will also supervise the maintenance staff; composed of 47 hourly positions broken into Skilled Team Members and Technicians across 3 shifts (1st, 2nd, and Weekend).

 

Your responsibilities will include 

  • Project management including automation, machine upgrades, and department programs such as common components
  • Lead the Preventative and Predictive Maintenance program
  • Coordinate weekend work meetings during the normal-work week
  • Supervise and manage workload for shift personnel
  • Implement and execute World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement countermeasures
  • Positively influence staff morale
  • Hourly staff time entry and schedule changes

 

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline 
  • Experience leading a team

 

Preferred skills and experiences

  • 3+ years’ experience in engineering role in and around automation
  • Experience in Predictive Maintenance methods
  • Experience with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology
