As an associate, you will work in a fast paced, high-speed environment while following standardized work and adhering to safe work practices in a continuous improvement organization.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform PM activities on CNC brake press, CNC turret punch and auto cell operations per required frequency

  • Prepare CNC brake presses and CNC turret presses for daily operation 

  • Pre-Stage tools and materials for CNC brake presses and CNC turret presses

  • Set-up and operate machines and equipment in the absence of the assigned operator

  • Troubleshoot and repair all machines and equipment as necessary, utilizing the repair manuals, PLC ladder diagrams and a multi-tester (restricted to low voltage and only where the hydraulic systems are not under pressure)

  • Sharpen, repair or replace tooling for the turret punch presses and brake presses

  • Maintain an accurate tooling inventory list and re-order damaged and missing tools

  • Perform and assist with engineering pilots (die trials) as needed

  • Assist other operators in driving production efficiencies

  • Train new operators


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Minimum 6 months at “A” operator level 

  • Advanced blueprint reading skills

  • Advanced precision measuring tool experience required

  • Must be able to use a multi-tester

  • Knowledge of visual quality standards 

  • Understanding of production reported processes

  • Power Press certification 

  • LOTO training required

  • Must be able to obtain fork truck license – valid state issued driver’s license required

  • Ability to follow standardized work

  • Work independently (unpaced work ) and manage time well

  • Ability to wear required PPE for the area (steel toed shoes)

  • Ability to stand on feet 10 hours or more per day

  • Lift up to 40 lbs unassisted

  • Physical ability to maneuver and align tooling effectively

  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed to support production requirements
