This role in summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking an Associate Motion Graphics Designer for an exciting and first-of-its-kind division: WoW Studios. Tasked with innovating the consumer experience and building the future of marketing at Whirlpool, WoW Studios  is the next generation of in-house advertising, storytelling, and experience. With deep support from executive leadership, armed with the latest digital marketing tools, and award-winning creative and experienced talent, our goal is nothing short of super-charging Whirlpool Corporation through investing in creativity and improving consumers’ lives inside millions of homes.


Producing the work for iconic brands like Jennair, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, and more, this highly visible, business-critical division will be heavily invested in increasing the total output of campaigns, content, analytics, design, experiences, digital tools, and service innovations. At the edge of the Chicago Riverwalk, WoW Studios North American headquarters is located in the historic Reid Murdoch Building

In this role, you will be on the first team at WoW Studios. A group coming together to build cohesive, powerful, and relevant brand experiences by partnering with Creatives, Brand Teams, and Program Managers on specific projects. You’ll help deliver on what is made and brought to life creatively. You’ll lean into your strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving. 


A Motion Graphics Design portfolio that demonstrates deep knowledge, creativity, and skill is needed to be considered for this position
 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Desire to own motion/video assets for the brand across all relevant channels
  • Organized, self-motivated, and quick problem solver who can work comfortably with multiple projects at different stages in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Design custom elements based on brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with content creators, brands, editors, and graphic designers to bring stories and concepts to life
  • Conceptualize, design, and animate, using different styles and approaches for deliverables as needed

Minimum requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of Motion Design experience inclusive of academics in marketing, advertising, or brand
  • 1+ years of experience using graphics or motion software (such as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator) 

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Experience using 3D software
  • Willingness to jump in, grasp directions quickly, and run with projects (following templates/style guides)
  • Work quickly and efficiently, to turn around projects fast
  • Ability to work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously 
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Strong communication skills

Additional information

Employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in-person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely
