The team you will be a part of

The Category Management team develops and implements marketing strategies to identify effective distribution channels. Researches and analyzes the marketplace to identify new channel, partnership and co-branding opportunities. Develops and monitors channel opportunities, licensing agreements, joint ventures and partnerships to maximize revenues. Designs, develops and implements marketing programs with third-party partners.

This role in summary

Category manager works as the link between the Nordic market and the central product and category teams. Daily work focuses on launching product innovations and creating as well as optimizing category and product strategies based on market analysis in cooperation with local sales and marketing teams. Category manager is also the go-to person for product related questions in the organization.

Your responsibilities will include

Propose Product Strategy for dedicated categories and products for the Nordic market based on market analysis and central model catalog
Propose price positioning and price change scenarios for different areas by category
Drive New Product launch execution in the market from first business cases to final product roll-out
Deliver market P&L per product group and provide input to EMEA category P&L
Translate central push plans into actions in the market and manage stock push plans
Take charge of product support, in particular focusing on quality management
Support the creation of Trade Partner presentations and effectively communicate the USPs of our innovations
Support the creation of effective materials for training and events and present products even to larger audiences when needed
Support the creation of brand communication materials with correct value propositions in co-operation with Brand and Digital Marketing
Continuously look for opportunities to optimize processes and improve cooperation between the central and market teams.

Minimum requirements

  • Master’s degree in marketing, business or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience with consumer goods
  • Great verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent Google suite/Microsoft Office package skills
  • Analytical and strategic mindset combined with commercial experience 
  • Strong presentation skills for presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion for consumer goods and serving the needs of the Nordic consumers
  • Ability to create followership and influence others
  • Ability to focus on details without losing sight on the big picture

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Experience in home appliance industry or consumer electronics
  • B2B marketing experience
  • Experience on working with all Nordic markets
  • Project leadership experience and good organizational skills
  • Interest and ambition to to grow in an international working environment
