Role purpose:


Year 2020 has also been the year when changes of consumers behaviours have been increasing in a pace we could never have foreseen. The European region has gone from many individual markets to one more joint marketplace. Consumers are more and more buying through new channels rather than just the traditional ones.


As a part of the change of competitive landscape and consumer behavior we want to secure our leading position in the market by changing our route to market. Our new strategy is to focus on expanding channels that support our premium brand profile and continue to strengthen our market position across the region. To do this, we have decided to work even closer to the market and our customers. As a consequence of this, KitchenAid and Thuesen Jensen, current distributor in Nordics, have agreed that the time has come to go separate ways, after a cooperation of over 20 years.


Since 2016 the Nordic market has been shared between the distributor and the KitchenAid Nordic organization (Hybrid market). KitchenAid is changing its route to market; and will from Q4 2021 handle the Nordic market including all customer responsibility. Therefore we are expanding our Nordic KitchenAid team and looking for a Nordic Key Account manager. As a key account manager, you will be a key player in securing a successful transition from hybrid to direct route to market model. You take ownership to develop your customer portfolio, deliver growth and further strengthen our market position on the Nordic market. You will work closely with the rest of the Nordic team (based in Stockholm) as well as our headquarter in Brussels.


Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Establish and secure a new business and commercial set-up with key account customers on the Nordic market in line with our EMEA Commercial strategy
  • Responsible for delivering in the commercial agenda with key customers, achieving budgeted revenue, margin and balance of sales target with assigned customers.
  • Develop sales with existing customers and to further strengthen our market position
  • Responsible for budget, target and forecast for assigned customers and secure ROI
  • Plan and execute product launches according to market plan to achieve agreed target
  • Optimize assortment and campaigns in line with KitchenAid Selective distribution agreement and channel insights
  • Together with Nordic marketing manager secure best in class marketing activation supporting our premium brand at customer level
  • Key initiator for merchandising and training activities for the assigned customers aligned with  marketing and business agenda
  • Ensure compliance with antitrust law
  • Close collaboration with our Headquarters in Brussels


Key Result Areas:


  • Develop and execute annual plans for each Key account customer in order to reach - the set  targets
  • Implement the SDA (selective distribution agreement) on each assigned customer
  • Roll out the EMEA commercial policy on each assigned customer
  • Implement Channel Strategy agreed in the Nordic team
  • Partner with Marketing to create the best KitchenAid consumer experience at each assigned customer


Selection Criteria:


  • University degree in business or related field
  • Experience from working in similar industries (SDA)
  • Experience from working in/with retail and e-commerce customers
  • Preferably experience from working with key customers on Finnsih/Norwegian market
  • Enjoy working in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and a hands on problem solver
  • Relationship builder, both internally and externally
  • Enjoy working in an international environment
  • Fluent in English and one of the Nordic languages ( preferably Finnish)
  • Based in Stockholm
  • Strong business acumen
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Proactive, flexible, stress resistant and able to work on own initiative
  • Office/Google Suite - Advanced Excel skills
