As Whirlpool we are looking for a Thermal Lead Engineer for our Built In Cooking platform team.

Working with us you will be responsible for all the thermal management aspects of mechanical subsystems of our Built In Ovens and Cooktops.

You will work, with Global cross functional teams, translating Customer needs into Engineering requirements and developing Products through the various design phases of a Project, from concept ideation to large scale production.

Your daily tasks will include development, execution, verification and validation activities basing on thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics.

Defining long term technological strategies and coaching young engineers is integral part of the job.

 

 

Key Requirements

  • Master/PhD degree in Mechanical / Aerospace  Engineering, Energy Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in Engineering Departments with the same or very similar role
  • Experience in analytical modelling of heat transfer processes
  • Experience in Design FMEA’s preparation
  • Experience in Systems Requirements management, validation and verification by analysis and by testing
  • Knowledge in simulation of airflows in vented compartments (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
  • Knowledge in component/product design with 3D CAD modeling (Creo/Parametric preferred)
  • Knowledge in component/systems/product development lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of 6 SIGMA tools is a plus
  • Good planning, communication and concept development skills
  • Experience working in diverse/multicultural environment with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Resilience, multidisciplinary approach
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English is a must
