The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

You will be part of the Resins team, one of the competencies within the Materials Engineering Team. Our team is a global and cross functional team. Lead, drives and develops technical strategies across resins technologies, including the execution of cost, quality and innovation projects, knowledge creation/capture, technical mentorship and consistent sound engineering practices. Support stakeholders on resins selections for existing and new applications.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Collaborate to define the Materials Strategy based on the proper and robust  Technology roadmaps for the assigned technology stream
  • Identify and deliver with rigor/robustness  cost effective and timely materials technology solutions
  • Develops and contributes to innovation and IP pipeline strategy
  • Global accountability on the development and execution of raw materials strategy in collaboration with key partners as Subsystem , System Integrators, Procurement and Manufacturing
  • Engage the supply base to develop the Strategy with the definition of collaboration models (partnership, etc)
  • Leverages knowledge through key suppliers and liaison to other external organizations
  • Based on the strategy drive the implementation of the selected technology solutions per time , cost and performances from the developing stage to the industrialization

Minimum requirements

  • B.S. on chemical or materials engineering / optional Master or PhD in the same area
  • Proficient in polymers science (polymer testing and characterization, polymers main failure modes, resin transforming processes)
  • Proficient or fluent english
  • Experience on resins selection based on product applications and requirements
  • At least 3-5 years dealing with the similar activities described above

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Basics in plastic parts and tooling design
  • Experience in six sigma opex
  • Project management skills
  • Open to multicultural environment with consistent workload and interactions among Regions
  • Autonomous in planning and organization of personal tasks
