Job Mission

  • Defines, develops and leads Whirlpool Production System philosophy, methodology, standard processes, approaches and tools across the organization. Drive manufacturing transformation, WCM Efficiency and P4G in accordance with WCM principles. 

  • Define, drive, coordinate and manage all Research and Development activities in EMEA Manufacturing in alignment with EMEA region priorities


Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of World Class Manufacturing Strategy in the whole EMEA Region and ensure coherent roll out within the different 16 plants.

  • Coordinate Central Pillar Leaders / Subject Matter Experts, ensuring WCM related competences development and diffusion in the organization, providing coaching, supporting the creation and the certification of internal trainers and ensuring there’s the right level of knowledge, awareness, education and training in the organization.

  • Drive own group to act as a catalytic element to spread the WCM knowledge within Operations Excellence and, in general, within the Integrated Supply Chain team, also coaching Plant Leaders and WCM Managers with the final aim of driving economic results 

  • Improve WCM Standards regarding production scheduling at shop floor level and production leveling, Work organization and layout, Material flow design and material handling strategy, equipment management strategy, line balancing etc, ensuring achievement of production, quality and productivity targets

  • Ensure there is global alignment on WCM standards with other Whirlpool regions and participate in Global Manufacturing Councils as EMEA representative with the final aim to influence and facilitate best practice sharing across different Whirlpool regions

  • Support new product introduction and footprint activities and additional WCM Integration Projects with the business

  • Coordinate EU and National funding programs for Whirlpool EMEA manufacturing R&D, ensuring alignment with company strategic priorities.

  • Support CAPEX management for the improvement of the entire manufacturing EMEA Region


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering 

  • 5+ years of WCM or Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience


Preferred Skills And Experiences

  • Background as WCM Coordinator, WCM Pillar Leader, Continuous Improvement Lead or Industrial Engineer

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Extensive cross-functional experience

  • Project management skills

  • Strong leadership  and change management skills

  • Proficient in Italian and English
