This role in summary

The Product Development Senior Manager will define the long term strategic direction for BuiIt In Cooking category, globally. This includes definition of Innovation priorities, translation of consumer needs into engineering targets, competitive intelligence monitoring, product attribute leadership targets setting. Specific focus on Wall Oven and Advanced Development workstream. The role is based in Cassinetta (Italy). 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead advance development projects in cooking

  • Work with regional counterparts to understand consumer insights and regional needs and to translate them in an actionable strategy

  • Work with subsystem and architecture teams to translate VoC into VoE to define architecture requirements driving global winning architecture

  • Own subsystem operations, technical roadmaps, innovation roadmaps, cost and quality pipeline generation

  • Builds up Platform Wall Oven Innovation Portfolio based on available budget by working with regional Product Directors to understand key consumers' pain points and then with Attribute Leaders and Advanced Innovation Team to identify most suitable solutions 

  • Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the subsystem teams and global cooking platform

  • Drive plans and results for cross-functional continuous improvement, including manufacturing, electronics, marketing, and consumer design

 

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • 8 years of industry experience developing consumer goods products

  • Experience as Project Manager or System Integrator

 

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • Proficient in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Six Sigma, Project Management and Systems Engineering concepts and tools

  • Experience leading globally diverse teams

  • Proven business case development/value creation experience
