Job mission

We are seeking/looking for an experienced individual to join our organization in Cassinetta, Italy. This position is dedicated to someone who is looking for an opportunity to grow in the Global Strategic Sourcing Department of an international company with great perspectives.

The candidate will conduct operational activities for heating elements and glass commodity in EMEA region towards financial and quality targets, manage suppliers to support project execution, ensure manufacturing operational support, lead market intelligence to collect critical data to support sourcing strategy, project execution and contract negotiations.

 

Your task in the role will include

  • Supplier Management: 
    • For assigned portfolio manage supplier relationship
    • Provide performance data to support supplier report card 
    • Develop risk mitigation plans for the assigned supplier portfolio (financial, compliance, macro-economic, geopolitical, etc);
    • Responsible for Procurement related system data entry & management 
  • Contract Negotiations:
    • Provide data to support regional contract negotiations
    • Manage internal approval in adherence to the standard and global processes in Commodity Management
    • Lead negotiation with suppliers for assigned portfolio
    • Lead all regional contracts sign-off for assigned supplier portfolio
  • Sourcing Strategy:
    • Provide supplier performance data to support strategy
    • For assigned portfolio lead strategy development (i.e. supply base reduction, dual sourcing implementation, localization in low cost countries  etc.etc.)
    • Execute the implementation of the regional/global strategy
  • Delivery Management - manage escalation:
    • Support factories and supply chain to ensure components deliveries on time. 
    • 1st  level of escalation within Commodity Management team
  • Quality, Engineering & Technology Engagement:
    • Recoup financial impacts when an incident occurs.
  • Project management:
    • Manage request for quotation for new projects
    • Manage supplier selection for new business awarding
    • Support project management team in project execution (quality, on time, on cost)
  • Cost Reduction:
    • Analyze supplier cost breakdown and cost performance vs market index
    • Lead Global benchmark to leverage on global scale opportunities
    • Drive cost reduction projects
  • Financial reporting:
    • Provide monthly financial reports for assigned portfolio

 

Background and experiences

  • Master’s technical degree or degree in Economics or Management
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience in procurement. International experience or experience in multinational companies is a plus.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, Italian is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is required. SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Availability to travel (minimum 1 week per month without constrictions)
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team working skills
  • Ability of multitasking and prioritizing activities with strict deadlines
