Talent Acquisition Analyst - University Recruiter
 


This role in summary 
Whirlpool is looking for a dynamic University Recruiter, to join our Global Human Resources organization in Benton Harbor, MI. The University Relations team at Whirlpool Corporation recruits undergraduate and graduate students into our Leadership Development Programs, early career, and internship opportunities. This position will focus on the sourcing and selection of talent for our programs. Additionally, this position will have a very important role in evolving our recruiting strategies using digital approaches to deliver the best talent to Whirlpool.   
 
Your responsibilities will include

  • Advise and develop strategic recruiting and branding plans across the U.S. for Whirlpool's Leadership Development Programs that leverage on-campus opportunities, digital platforms, and diversity conferences
  • Evolve and expand the use of digital recruitment strategies to broaden our talent pipelines
  • Partner with universities and colleges, diversity student organizations, and digital platform vendors on plans that will build diverse talent pipelines
  • Partner with key stakeholders such as the Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise (TA COE), regional University Recruiting counterparts, Leadership Development Program Managers, Communications and Inclusion and Diversity on the development of recruiting plans
  • Drive and support projects to continuously improve and standardize the recruiting process
  • Work with vendor partners to drive flawless execution of our recruiting activities 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide training and education to Program Recruiters on executing effective recruiting strategies for programs
  • Conduct assessments and, resume screening, behavioral interviews, and talent calibration sessions that lead to hiring decisions
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the Whirlpool applicant tracking system and assist in managing dashboards for HR leaders and Program Managers
  • Analyze cost-per-hire and quality of hire data and make recommendations regarding employer branding and recruiting strategies
  • Develop and conduct on-campus and digital presentations and articulate Whirlpool's employer value proposition to potential candidates
  • Planning and managing key recruiting activities (i.e. Intern onboarding and intern programming, Externship program, etc.)
  • Identify and lead initiatives to further expand Whirlpool Corporation's reputation as an employer of choice and best-in-class recruiting company
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for recruiting events

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years experience in Recruiting, University Relations or Talent Acquisition 

 
Preferred skills and experiences 

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources
  • Strong knowledge of university recruiting and digital recruiting strategies
  • Thought leader with ability to influence 
  • Experience partnering with vendors 
  • Knowledge of regulatory laws that affect employment
  • Knowledge and experience with continuous improvement methodology
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
