Whirlpool is seeking a Senior Manager Human Resources to support the Consumer Appliance Care team in the North America Region (NAR), Whirlpool’s largest P&L.

This HR leader will be the strategic Human Resources Business Partner for CAC Vice President and support a team of ~1800 employees. He/she will be responsible for developing and executing organizational strategies that align structure, culture and talent with business goals while providing coaching to people leaders.

There is plenty of variety in this role. Today, you will work on driving organizational effectiveness to ensure “fit for purpose” structure. Tomorrow, you might be identifying the future leadership pipeline and partnering with leaders to identify appropriate development actions. Or build out engagement plans to increase team effectiveness...possibilities are endless.


What You Will Do:

  • Partner with business leaders to lead and drive people excellence to enable CAC achieve their deliverables and positively impact Whirlpool’s North America business.

  • Drive business strategy and change for CAC including talent strategies

  • Consult with CAC leadership team and NAR HR staff to proactively interpret and leverage data to diagnose and solve talent challenges and implications

  • Coach employees and people leaders

  • Leverage COE driven solutions to meet business objectives and organizational issues

  • Partner with HR operations to enable two-way information sharing on CAC’s needs and ensure positive business outcomes.

  • Facilitate problem solving using Continuous Improvement methodology.

  • Lead Strategic Workforce Planning and drive Diversity & Inclusion strategy in CAC.

  • Participate with others in completing special projects as assigned.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of five years of progressive, relevant experience in human resources, partnering with senior level business executives

  • Business Acumen: Uses extensive knowledge and insight about the business to fully engage in business discussions and lead People Excellence strategy to improve talent and business outcomes.

  • Strategic Partner: Develops effective relationships with clients by building trust, leveraging networks, applying HR expertise, and measuring and ensuring business results.

  • Organizational Effectiveness: Creates an effective and strong organization by utilizing organizational diagnosis tools, leveraging organization design principles, and building organization capabilities in line with Whirlpool’s core values to win against the competition.

  • Data-driven Insights: Applies data analytics and judgment to draw insights that inform business decision making.

  • Coach: Uses coaching and influencing skills to successfully drive change and leaders’ ownership/accountability.

  • Change Champion: Partners to lead and sustain change creating an agile and responsive organization.
