Function Overview

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Senior Continuous Improvement Work Analyst in Supply/Logistics to join our Trade Customer Support organization in Benton Harbor, MI.  In this role, you will balance embedding a culture of Continuous Improvement within the TCS organization with projects focused on driving efficiencies and root cause error elimination.


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing and consistent support to the trade customer support teams through the standardized work operating model and continuous improvement efforts to ensure we are delivering the promise to our trade customers
  • Lead embedment of a culture of Continuous Improvement by developing CI skills in others
  • Maintain and manage collaborative projects involving multiple process partners
  • Identification and elimination of waste as well as identification and scope of new projects
  • Provide data and analysis for obstacles facing operations
  • Act independently, prioritize, and influence others on a regular basis to drive the lean, fast, and engaged mindset
  • Manage technology-focused initiatives to improve efficiency
  • Motivate and grow the organization in thought leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Work collaboratively across internal & external organizations to generate efficiencies & create value for Whirlpool & customer
  • Self-motivated to identify and collaborate on current obstacles facing the organization while indirectly influencing and ensuring accountability of results for all parties involved


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in functional sourcing, procurement or supply chain


Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or Engineering
  • Continuous Improvement Fundamentals I & II training
  • Exceptional understanding of Continuous Improvement tools & methodologies
  • Understanding of function vision and strategy to align your work
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams on process improvement and facilitating numerous process improvement events
  • Progressive analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional computer skills including use of spreadsheets (MS Excel, Google Sheet), presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides), SAP/Bex for data mining, as well as eCRM.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data mining with an understanding of financial and operational impacts on process partners
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and across various functions as well as partner with groups outside of Whirlpool.
  • Thought leader (brings thought leadership to discussions to create positive outcomes)
  • Aptitude to influence others to effectively support projects/initiatives
  • Critical thinking, ability to problem solve and resourceful at seeking resolution
  • Ability to work and thrive within a team and across multi-function teams
