This role in summary

The Sr. Analyst, Extended Service Plans (ESP) is a critical role that is responsible to drive near term revenue and profit growth, as well as driving consumer loyalty to the brands. The focus of this role is on improving both the quality and quantity of product registration, as well as capitalize on revenue generation opportunities at the point of registration process. This role requires an ability to strike a balance with strong operational and continuous improvement acumen with strategic planning. The person in this role will work across various groups within Whirlpool; Brands, Consumer Services, Legal, Direct to Consumer, Global Information Systems (GIS), Internet of Things (IoT)  and will manage a key third party vendor. The ability to drive a positive consumer experience, the opportunity to impact the course of the consumer's ownership journey, and balance strategy and operational continuous improvement are what make this role compelling and important for Whirlpool. This position is located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in-person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely

The ESP Business Unit delivers over $20M in annual revenue to Whirlpool Corporation. Success in this role is defined by developing, planning, and executing a multi year strategy for product registrations targeted at improving registration rates and adding value.  
 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Provide industry disruptive thought leadership that adds value to Whirlpool and the consumer’s ownership experience
  • Lead Whirlpool’s North America product registration process
  • Lead ESP point of registration sales performance
  • Provide thought leadership to various business units  and process partners in methods to leverage ESPs to the benefit of other stakeholders. 
  • Execute strategies and deliver results, prioritizing quarterly objectives and operational efficiencies.  
  • Drive operational excellence thru the operations team and other internal process partners
  • Manage relevant vendor relationships related to product registrations
  • Contribute to a transparent, open culture of sharing best practices and constructive feedback
  • Exhibit and teach a solutions-driven, continuous improvement, and resilient mindset through recent COVID hardships
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that deliver operational enhancements to the business unit & consumer 
  • Build strong relationships across peer set at Whirlpool, ensuring collaboration and a culture of learning
  • Domestic travel up to 10%

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or finance
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, operations, finance, extended service plans, or field service

  • Masters, Business Administration 
  • Thought leadership and proven ability to execute operational priorities
  • Project management and proven organizational skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Create trust & followership, leading through influence & cross-functional partnership
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) with detailed follow up
  • Knowledge of Whirlpool operations and support functions process
  • In-depth knowledge of Whirlpool and relevant business units
  • Analytical, Data driven, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Financial acumen including P&L understanding
