Electronics, Engineering /Senior Analyst, Electrical Engineering

 

Functional Overview:


Responsible for developing, testing and approving concepts and design requirements for electronics systems to be used in Commercial Laundry Applications. 
 
This position is part of the Commercial Laundry Team reporting to the Controls & Payment System Manager. The Senior Engineer role will work closely with software engineers, electrical/electronic engineers, and mechanical engineers on Connected Cybernetic Systems. The goal of this role is to assure that the electronics solutions will be delivered on time, on cost and on quality, according to the project targets

This position is located in Benton Harbor CIty.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Translation of Customer and Stakeholder needs into technical requirements and specifications.
  • System Integration and Validation
  • System level design/cost/quality/time tradeoffs and technical decision making for electronics projects
  • Participate in technical design reviews for cybernetic projects
  • Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirement, including cost, quality and performance targets
  • Drive system validation during concept, design and product validation stages
  • Drive electronics requirements and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) 
  • Work closely with Stakeholders to identify unmet needs and potential improvements.
  • Be able to understand electrical functional circuits.
  • Define and manage Interfaces to all sub-system in compliance to the system solution.
  • Support definition of system validation plans, execute system validation testing, and work with Verification & Validation Engineers to ensure traceability to verification
  • Provide timely and objective communications up, across and down into the organization
  • Evaluate the impact and risk on decisions made
  • Resolves conflicts and issues
     

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Aeronautic or Automotive
  • 3+ years experience in System Integration
  • Experience with electronics: Hardware, Software, Components, and Wiring 
  • Experience with project management and execution: schedule, resources management, cost management, quality management and technical integration events

 
Preferred Requirements:

 

  • Good communications skills and hands-on,
  • Proficient in requirements management
  • Knowledgeable in Matlab or other simulation tools
  • Experience with electronics products manufacturing process
  • International Council of Systems Engineers (INCOSE) Certified Systems Engineer Professional (CSEP) or Associate Systems Engineer Professional (ASEP) desired
  • Experience with Systems Thinking
