This role in summary

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst Accounting opening to join our Corporate Accounting organization. 

Collaborate with finance and accounting managers to support the monthly closing process. Lead special projects related to finance and accounting, focusing to improve the quality of information provided to our leadership. Work with a team to improve the efficiency of the global closing process. Each day will provide a solid foundation that you can build off of for your career with Whirlpool. 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Be an integral part of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process 
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations on a global level 
  • Work closely with the International partners on ASIA, Latin America and Europe 
  • Responsible for performing the day-to-day general ledger accounting, internal reporting and analysis, with a focus on global consolidation 
  • Will have exposure to different areas and levels of the organization, such as tax, treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), policies and procedures and external reporting 
  • Be involved in accounting for Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Be engaged in a highly collaborative and dynamic work environment 

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 3+ years of experience in Consolidation, accounting or auditing

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance 
  • MBA 
  • CPA or CMA Finance Certifications
  • Understanding of US GAAP 
  • Experience in SAP/BPC (Business Planning Consolidation tool), Microsoft Excel 
  • Ability to analyze processes and drive improvements 
  • Ability to effectively articulate needs for change to business partners 


Additional information

Employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in-person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely.
