Job Overview

 

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of  Enterprise Informaion Systems (EIS),Project Manager. This role will be located at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI. You will be reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure PMO, the Enterprise Information Systems Project Manager will be accountable for the execution and delivery of medium and large Enterprise Infrastructure Services projects that support our Global Information System (GIS) strategy: Business Driven, Cloud First and Innovation Focused. The Project Manager works effectively with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and utilizes continuous improvement to evolve project management approaches. You will be working with colleagues around the world to design or implement new infrastructure, operations, and security initiatives and capabilities utilizing innovative technology. The candidate will partner with multiple technical resources, program managers, and/or business owners on projects like: Network infrastructure implementation and upgrades, Cloud migrations and implementations (Infrastructure as a Service), IT Service Management initiatives, and enterprise wide End User Services projects. Preferably, candidates have experience in working on IT infrastructure projects such as platform and database migrations; have good (non-technical) understanding of SW/HW infrastructures (how things connect and work together); experience in managing SW/Platform development and upgrade projects; and experience working with technical and business resources especially with interpreting - communicating to business / leadership in "layman" terms. The candidate needs to be a “self-starter” who has the drive and perseverance to get things done. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Lead capital projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering multiple projects by leading and guiding business and  technical resources from project intake to delivery
  • Provide direction and guidance to successfully launch and facilitate new technology and tools using the current project management methodology. required to manage all aspects of the project to include but not limited to the project scope, resources, financials, communications, timelines, documentation, and reporting using the current project management methods
  • Oversee and manage the procurement process for the project, ensuring that appropriation requests, purchase orders, and goods receipts are actively managed and submitted. This will also include partnering with vendors, procurement, and business teams to ensure appropriate staffing for projects.
  • Provide financial oversight and be fiscally proactive in managing the project budget and spending forecasts. 
  • Expected to work with and collaborate with business partners to ensure successful delivery of a project
  •  Interact and communicate project plans, concerns and issues to multiple organizations and leaders at various levels within the corporation to ensure successful and timely project completion.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or Technology 
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management with a focus on  IT initiatives 
  • 1+ year of Agile Project Management experience 

 

 

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or Psychology 
  •  PMP certification 
  •  Proven project management, resource management, and project financial experience ● Scrum Master and/or Agile Certification 
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, priorities and commitments concurrently 
  • Ability to network cross-functionally across multiple organizations with the ability to win the confidence and trust of colleagues 
  • Strong negotiation and influence capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated value creator; delivery of results and meeting expectations. 
  • Confidence in the face of adversity and an ability to work through uncertainty 
  • A positive, winning attitude 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, facilitate and interact with a global team
  • Openness & flexibility to adapt and adopt a rapidly changing and fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with Smart sheets, ServiceNow and Google Suite a plus 
  • Strong decision-making skills with clear goals for meetings or projects 
  • Previous Information Technology experience preferably infrastructure  Experience with Project Management Financial software 
  • Experience with medium to large information technology projects 
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs.and translate them into operational and project requirements
