FUNCTION OVERVIEW:

This role has responsibility to Deliver Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) for Product Development Phases, Plan & Coordinate Engineering Development Builds and Monitor Budget & Engineering Releases to achieve successful Engineering System Integration. Also, this role supports successful project management by tracking the project master schedule, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Capital register and Cost.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop/ Maintain & Deliver Product BOM for various product development stages in coordination with System Integrator and Other Process Partners.
  • Lead selection of Base Models, correctness of Add-Delete and Plan/ Track Specification releases incl Parts, Sub-Assemblies and BOM change notices (CNs)
  • Plan, Coordinate & Deliver Product validation Engineering Builds including Part by Part Tracking, Purchase Order (PO) Releases with Vendors and Model Shop Requests incl coordination with Manufacturing/ procurement teams.
  • Plan/ Forecast and Track Engineering Expenses for Product Development Projects.
  • Partner with literature personnel to ensure all user guides, literature and labels are managed and updated for production projects.
  • Develop & Track project master schedule, including follow-up on cross functional team members.
  • Maintain and report on action register activities.
  • Develop & Track project budget incl Capital Register
  • Track Sub Assembly/ parts development for production readiness, including part supplier selection, toolmaker selection, electronic Corrective Action Report (eCAR) approvals, tooling POs, tooling initiation to release, molder trials & PPAP for make and buy parts.
  • Develop/ Maintain and Propose overall Project KPI status on Monthly Basis/ Gates/ Milestones
  • Gather, organize, process, and communicate project data, including reports, obeya room and presentations
  • Support System integrator & project management for Risk Assessment & Mitigation plan development.
  • Support System Integrator/s, Project Manager/s, Architecture and Planning teams for Engineering & Project Planning & Analysis
  • 10% - 20% travel within United States

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Thermodynamics or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years’ experience in System Integration, Engineering Planning and Project Management

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">4+ years of Engineering Planning & Project Management experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">PMI/PMP Certification
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others
