The team you will be a part of

The Whirlpool Global HR Operations team is seeking an innovative, strategic, collaborative, hands-on Director to reimagine and rollout support to our Human Capital Management (HCM) platform globally. We need a thought leader who will challenge the status quo and champion new and creative HCM solutions aimed at helping Whirlpool HR achieve their strategic goals. This role in summary

The Director of Global HR Technology is a key member of the Global HR Operations team and will apply their innovative and strategic mindset to reimagine and rollout support to our Human Capital Management (HCM) platform globally through their hands-on leadership approach. This individual will serve as a thought leader who will challenge the status quo and champion new and creative HCM solutions aimed at helping Whirlpool HR achieve their strategic goals.

The Director will also be an inspirational Leader who has a passion for enabling HR strategies through technology that improve and engage the overall total workforce experience. They will be a thinker and collaborator with an aptitude to learn and drive new technologies as well as a leader who delivers results with excellence.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead global HR technology support model - including direct leadership of business analysts supporting HR technologies driving core HR, Recruiting and Onboarding, Performance and Goal Management, Succession, Learning and collaboration, Workforce Analytics and overall Content Knowledge Management through portal 
  • Partner with IT and HR CoE’s to evaluate and implement regular system upgrades that align and support our business strategy
  • Demonstrate expertise in Human Capital Management (HCM) technologies, business processes and functional trends, experience with SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Workforce Software, RPA and SAP Payroll
  • Accountable for the global HCM system strategy and roadmap
  • Understand technology change roadmap and releases and develop effective execution plans for the business
  • Provide guidance to functional HR areas to ensure best practices and optimization of core system functionality; provide recommendations for adoption, enhancements, and future system capabilities
  • Identify opportunities for improving the total workforce experience
  • Lead project management office for global HR service delivery operations including driving prioritization, business case development, promoting agile methodologies and resource planning
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement to established SLA metrics
  • Coach, mentor and provide leadership development to team members to optimize operational excellence and develop a bench of experienced talent
  • Establish strong partnership in managing global HR vendors. Maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and recommend best practices to inform the HR technology roadmap and long-term vision.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related subject required
  • 12 years of hands on experience designing and leading HR Technology initiatives
  • 6 years experience leading teams
  • Advanced knowledge of HCM applications (both SaaS and on premise) SAP, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow strongly preferred

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Masters/MBA or advanced degree preferred
