This role in summary

The Accounting Sr. Analyst is a key member of the Corporate Controller team and will primarily focus on strategic transactions and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects for the finance and accounting function.  This individual will work closely and interact with multiple stakeholders and be a key part of the Company’s global business portfolio transformation initiatives.  This Sr. Analyst will be a critical business partner to Corporate Accounting, Corporate Strategy, regional accounting and finance teams, third-party valuation and due diligence advisors and external auditors.  This role will also support month-end and quarter-end closing activities on an ad-hoc basis, including, but not limited to, internal reporting, external reporting, policies and procedures and regional accounting teams.  This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager, Strategic Projects.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Provide accounting support for strategic projects, including acquisitions and divestitures
  • Execute data gathering, financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting related to strategic transactions and M&A
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SEC rules and SOX 404 standards and contribute to whitepaper analysis
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements and efficiencies around general accounting practices and procedures
  • Support activities for month-end close across the Corporate Accounting function on an ad-hoc basis

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant ( CPA )
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience 
  • 1+ years of experience with M&A and divestiture transaction

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Master’s degree in accounting
  • Big 4 accounting firm
  • SEC reporting and US GAAP experience
  • SOX 404 experience
  • Highly organized and results-oriented with demonstrated experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
  • Process management skills with continuous improvement mindset

Additional information

Employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in-person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely.
