Function Overview:
We are seeking qualified candidates for an Analyst, Procurement opening to join our Global Strategic Sourcing organization. Today, you might be working on a Supply Agreement. Tomorrow, youll be creatinga Commodity Strategy for US and Mexico and aligning with Global counterparts, process partners, and Senior leaders.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the business relationship between Whirlpool and their Fasteners suppliers (Contract negotiations/Supplier issue resolution/ Supplier cost reductions/Purchase Order creation and management)
  • Develop and execute the North American region (NAR) purchasing strategy for the Fasteners commodity space (Sourcing execution / Supplier Selection), while collaborating and synergizing with Global counterparts on future sourcing strategies.
  • Generate and execute value-add projects.
  • Lead and manage efforts to drive complexity reduction within Fasteners globally.
  • Lead / Support Engineering & Technology needs and projects within assigned commodities
  • Effectively evaluate suppliers on cost, quality, delivery, and other information to determine viability of supplier.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business
  • 2+ years of Purchasing, Procurement, Engineering or Supply Chain experience
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience
  • Conversational business english

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated practical use of supplier management and sourcing principles
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with Excel (Pivot Tables/Formulas) and Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Great communication skills, sense of urgency to deliver results
