Analyzing the market for the commodity and executing  long term strategy for the commodity globally.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for developing  commodity strategy , competitive/ market intelligence , data analytics' , negotiation skills , process knowledge. 
  • Cross functional role  ,strong relationships with key stakeholders within the corporate and factory levels and to execute sourcing strategies for commodities to drive value and significantly impact bottom-line profitability. This role also partners with Manufacturing, Production, Quality, and Technical leaders to identify  opportunities in the commodity areas. 
  • Devise  sourcing strategies to ensure cost competitiveness by working on both new and existing  suppliers , supplier agreements. 
  • Manage Total Cost Of Ownership ( BOM , Overall Cost Structure , Quality & logistics). 
  • Develop a detailed strategic approach to manage connectors, Audio and Sensors ,  as a commodity  to set future targets across  standards, cost, performance , warranty and Lead time. Manage a total spend of $90M across the regions. 
  • Collaborate with key functional stakeholders to demonstrate Product Leadership of new launches and expectations of the company. 
  • Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements. 
  • Knowledge about New Product Launches and PPAP Process . 
  • Monitoring , communicating and  Driving progress on projects 

Key Deliverables

  • Meeting new project cost targets
  • Define and execute the Global Component Strategy.
  • Source the products and components at right cost and quality.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Engineering or Similar Background
  • Previous Procurement experience 3 - 4 years
  • Hands on in Google/MSExcel/Powerpoint.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and working experience of electronics or electromechanical components
  • Extensive global sourcing experience & strong negotiation skill
  • Demonstrated success in supplier management, cost reduction & inventory management
