(NAR) Manager Manufacturing System Design

Location: Apodaca, Nuevo León


Enable efficient and effective Manufacturing System Design that consistently delivers the product vision for all major architecture projects                                    
Key Activities and Responsibilities 
➜ Defines the elements of manufacturing system aligned to the industrial and architecture strategy                
➜ Leverages information provided by the System Architects to achieve Product Leadership, Complexity Reduction, and Modular Architecture targets and refine the Manufacturing Sequence Chart (iterative process)                                    
➜ Coordinates information and technical trade-offs with the system architecture & manufacturing teams                    
➜ Applies comprehensive and effective use of MSD tools: design for manufacturing, (Vom/DfX), capacity analysis, layouts, process design, virtual mock up, work methods analysis, MBOM, etc.                                
➜ Drives the creation of industrial engineering related documentation to support MSD activities                        
➜ Applies continuous improvement to value stream through concurrent/MSD tools                                
➜ Utilize simulation tools/methods (discrete event simulation, mock-ups, software, etc.) to understand the impact and constraints of the manufacturing system, including factory flow                                    
➜ Collaborates with central engineering or plant resources to integrate the new product into existing factory master plans, considering WCM (WO, WPI, EPM) requirements                                    
Optimized manufacturing system design that satisfies the requirements of both the product and process as outlined in the Concept Paper Final Mfg Sequence Chart                                    
MSD, BoP, DFM, WCM, WPD, FMEA, PFEP, VSM, Process Mapping, DES, Mock-Ups, etc.

Competencies/Education Requirements/Knowledge, Skills, Abilities                                    
➜ Must have an engineering degree - Industrial Engineering preferred                                    
➜ Advanced process or product design experience. Design sequence or Manufacturing preferred                        
➜ Very good task management, communication, facilitation, and teamwork skills                                
➜ Knowledge of WPD and WCM principles and milestones                                    
➜ Proven success in gaining cross-functional and cross-cultural alignment preferred


➜ Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time with some travel to U.S., Brazil, Asia, and Europe
