We are looking for a Logistics Financial Analyst to join our EMEA Logistics Finance team in Lodz, Poland.

 

Your task in this role will include

 

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Finance Manager EMEA your responsibilities will be the following:

 

  • Control and consolidate financial performance from logistic & warehousing operations to support management and local operations in ensuring efficient and profitable results
  • Prepare the month-end reporting package to track warehousing and logistics costs, and supply chain performance
  • Create value on decision making support with business partners
  • Manage and optimize the inventory of DOS initiatives
  • Provide analysis required to develop business strategies and manage the costs 
  • Support business and finance team in executing the defined set of actions recommended to improve financial performance and exploit opportunities
  • Participate in Profit Plan, Long Range Plan and strategic initiatives
  • Liaise with the controllers, central finance and SSC in order to ensure the monthly, yearly closing requirements and day-by-day activities are met in full and on time
  • Lead the elaboration of the yearly plan and monthly financial outlook of the warehousing and logistics
  • Lead the yearly standard cost exercise for the areas in scope
  • Ensure compliance with all the relevant accounting rules, procedures, internal controls and finance policies, support in the internal and external audit engagements
  • Manage multiple relation/Finance Business Partner - Finance team (HQ,SSC) and Business
  • Anticipate operating issues that would impact the financial results and support for their resolution
  • Attend education activities within the organization

 


Background and Experiences


Minimum Requirements to Succeed

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Controlling or Finance roles within Logistics, Inventory and/or Manufacturing
  • University Degree in Business / Economics / Finance / Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

 

 

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Databases, SAP MM-SD-FI-CO modules, previous experience is considered a plus
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, willingness to take on related additional tasks and expand upon current responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Ability to work in an international environment team. Good communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Capability to lead improvement projects, embrace a continuous-improvement mentality
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision, highly organized. Strong analytical skills
  • Strong commitment to meeting tight deadlines, under certain levels of stress, self-motivated and flexibility to work after hours as necessary
  • Detail-oriented but understands the concept of materiality
  • Self-motivated, proactive, highly-driven, “can-do” approach, ability to successfully manage ambiguity and deliver on assignments with minimal supervision. Self-starter and ability to create structured and rigorous processes where none exist
